Product development
Move Innovation is your partner whether you are a startup, a scale-up or an established company. We shape the product together with you. In our workshop with 3D printers, laser cutters and much more, we make ideas tangible - from the first prototype to the finished product.
Product development
What is product development?
Product development is the path from idea to finished product. We go from concept and design to prototypes, testing and production readiness. At Move Innovation we gather the whole journey in one place: concept development, product design, mechanics, electronics and device development. That means you have one partner throughout the entire process. Form and function are thought through together from day one.
We work with startups, scale-ups and established companies. What they have in common is an idea or a need, but a shortage of hands, tools or specialist knowledge to get across the finish line.

How a project works with us
When you get in touch, we start with a no-obligation conversation. We talk about your idea, your market and your goals. Then we frame the concept: What does the product need to do? Who is going to use it? What requirements does it have to meet? On that basis we lay out a plan in clear phases. That way you always know how far along we are and what the next step is.
A typical collaboration runs from concept and research to design, engineering, prototypes, user testing and production readiness. We work in short sprints and involve you along the way, so we can adjust course before time and money are spent on the wrong thing. You can bring us along for the entire journey, or only for the phases where you need us.
Form and function go hand in hand
A product's form has to match the function it is meant to serve. That is why we develop design and engineering in close step with the electronics. That is the core of good device development: mechanics, electronics and user experience have to fit together. It makes the process simpler and ensures that form and function stay aligned all the way.
We can develop design and mechanics from idea to prototype and on to production. The design starts from the user and the technical constraints. The goal is a product that is good-looking, usable and possible to manufacture.
Concept development that holds all the way
Good concept development is about making the right choices early. We help you clarify the idea, assess the options and turn needs into concrete requirements. A solid concept makes the rest of the process faster, cheaper and more predictable. The big decisions have been made before we start building.
3D design and manufacturing
- Complete 3D model in SolidWorks (or your preferred CAD tool).
- Bill of materials covering every component.
- Production readiness, so the product is ready to go into series with your manufacturer.

Product design and engineering end to end
We can develop design and mechanics from idea to prototype and on to production. The design starts from the user and the technical constraints. The goal is a product that is good-looking, usable and possible to manufacture.
Design of parts and elements:
- User interface design.
- Product visualisation.
- Shaping the physical design of the product.
Renderings and models in prototype development:
- Renderings produced in several variants.
- Appearance and functional models delivered using 3D printers.
- Ongoing prototypes ready for user testing.
User experience:
- Analysis of the user's overall experience - from product and unboxing to use.
- Placing and testing the product in the intended use environments.
- Ensuring the product meets requirements and specifications.
Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to have a product developed?
The price depends on the complexity of the product and how far you have come on your own. That is why we always start with a no-obligation conversation. Here we frame the task and lay out a plan in clear phases, so you have an overview of scope and next steps before we begin.
What is the difference between concept development and product development?
Concept development is the first phase. Here we clarify the idea, assess the options and turn needs into concrete requirements. Product development is the whole journey from concept to design, mechanics, electronics, prototypes and finished product. A solid concept makes the rest of the process faster and more predictable.
Can you both develop and manufacture the product?
Yes. We can take your product from idea to a production-ready solution and prepare it to go into series, so you have one partner throughout the process.
How long does a product development project take?
It varies from product to product. It depends on complexity, the number of iterations and the requirements for testing and documentation. Because we work in clear phases, you get a realistic picture of the schedule along the way. And we can adjust course before time and money are spent on the wrong thing.
Can you join a project that is already under way?
Yes. You can bring us along for the entire journey or only for the phases where you need us. That could be product design, mechanics, electronics or production readiness. We adapt to how far you have already come.
Shall we turn your idea into reality?
Technical development takes more than good ideas — it takes the right skills. We have gathered hardware, software and engineering expertise under one roof, so you get from prototype to production quickly and safely.
