About us

Who we are and how we succeed

In a project company like Move, it is not enough to bring skilled specialists together under one roof. What matters is how we work together. We believe the best products are created when skills are brought into play across disciplines, decisions are made close to the task, and we help each other get over the line. That is why our everyday work is built on shared leadership, honesty and a strong sense of community.

Together we achieve more than we do alone

At Move, we develop complex technological products in which electronics, software, mechanics, design and production must work as one integrated solution. That takes more than skilled specialists, each in their own field. It takes understanding each other's work, sharing our knowledge and daring to challenge each other's solutions.

We believe the sum of our skills should be greater than what each of us can deliver alone. That does not happen automatically just because we work for the same company. It takes a culture in which we actively seek out each other's knowledge and help each other find the best solution for the project.

As a relatively small, close-knit team, we know each other well. We know what each person is particularly good at, but also where we need help from our colleagues. That makes it natural to work across disciplines and quickly bring the right skills into play.

Shared leadership – decisions are made where the knowledge is

We practise shared leadership. This means that responsibility and decision-making power lie largely with the project team and the people who have the professional insight.

Management does not necessarily know the most about a specific technical challenge. So decisions should not always have to go up through a management structure before anyone can act. We give our people the freedom and responsibility to make decisions within the project's agreed framework.

This creates ownership, engagement and, not least, momentum. When problems arise, the team can act quickly and find solutions together.

We help each other, and we tell it like it is

As a small development house, there are two things in particular we have to be good at to deliver first-class products.

01 · First

First, we have to help each other. We have to be generous with our knowledge and skills and step up when a colleague needs someone to spar with or an extra pair of hands. We succeed as a team, not as individuals.

02 · Second

Second, we have to be able to tell it like it is. We have to dare to ask questions, challenge decisions, give constructive feedback and speak up when something is not working. Even when it is difficult, or when we disagree.

That takes trust and mutual respect. We have to be able to have a direct and honest dialogue without making disagreement personal. And we have to be able to admit when we have been wrong or need help.

It is precisely the combination of strong collaboration and honest communication that means problems are spotted and solved early, before they grow big. It keeps projects moving and helps us build better products for our customers.

Ground rules that are used in practice

We have formulated a set of ground rules that describe how we want to work together.

But ground rules are only worth something if they are actually used.

When everything is going well, working together is relatively easy. It is when the schedule is tight, when we disagree about a solution or when communication goes awry that our values are truly put to the test.

That is why we bring out our ground rules when something is difficult. They give us a common starting point for talking about what is not working, taking responsibility and finding our way back to good collaboration.

We do not expect to get everything perfect every time. But we do expect to help each other get better, and to take responsibility for getting our collaboration back on track when something goes wrong.

For us, the ground rules are not something that just hangs on the wall. They are an active part of our everyday work and of how we ensure well-being, quality and momentum in our projects.
