Control and monitoring of production equipment through systems of low power wireless sensor modules
Novo Nordisk came to us asking for a solution that could ensure correct use of production equipment. On this project Move Innovation handled concept development together with Novo, as well as the development, testing and manufacture of the final solution.
Wireless low energy sensor communication
The final solution consisted of small sensors that had to communicate wirelessly with a control module. What made this product interesting was the demanding criteria. Because the sensors had to form part of a mechanical element, compactness and robustness were decisive factors.
This part had to be integrated with a unit that could communicate wirelessly with a control unit, where energy efficiency and battery life played an important role. The product was optimised to hold power for around a year on an easily replaceable coin cell battery. After the development phase it was manufactured in Move Innovation's own production.
