It is not about looking pretty
Mock-ups in hardware development
We are constantly building something new, and one important step is the mock-up. And yes, there is often tape, rubber bands and loose wires involved. That is the point.
In hardware development we call it a mock-up. Not a prototype, not a finished product, but a functional system built from whatever is at hand.
The purpose is simple: to uncover the biggest technical risks as early as possible, so the right decisions can be made before they get expensive. It takes a certain discipline to resist the temptation to make things pretty too early. Because a mock-up is not meant to impress, but to reveal. Do the sensors work as expected? Can the board handle the data stream? Does the communication between the modules hold up?
Once those questions have been answered with tape, a random motor and a button, you can start investing in what has to work in the end, in production. The value is not the aesthetics, but the answers you get from building it as early as possible.
Do you have a product in mind and need to uncover the technical risks early? That is exactly where we start. Write to us - even if all you have is an idea and a napkin to draw it on.
Shall we turn your idea into reality?
Technical development takes more than good ideas — it takes the right skills. We have gathered hardware, software and engineering expertise under one roof, so you get from prototype to production quickly and safely.
